As I sit here and type away, I decide to watch the most interesting of middle-aged strangers being devoured by the technology they are just now discovering.. computers.
I like the older man’s shoes that face me. They are moccasins from, what I’m guessing, around 1975. Not only do I notice his shoes, I also take note of his many scrolls and clicks and pounds. He must be really into whatever lays upon his screen. Although I cannot see his face, I can imagine it to be in awe at the many wonders he is finding on the mysterious internet.
There are many others too. A Man with a swooshy looking 1970’s haircut. He has a turtle neck and round glasses. His facial expression is telling me that he is feeling uneasy. I wonder what his deal is?
There’s a man with a packer sweatshirt and hat. He is roughly 65 years old. I will call him Bill. Bill is on microsoft publisher. The font is bubbly and the colors are many. What could he be making?
There are mostly older men here. The women are few and work at the information desk.
Why do I spend my Saturday studying these people.. they must think of me as a creeper.. I do feel especially creepy watching them. I’ll stop.
I hope you tumbling people have something better to do today.
Although Thanksgiving was not necessarily a good day for me, yesterday..
I still have plenty of things to be thankful for. A whole huge list of things. Here I go.
I am thankful for:
1)Living- Having that privilege is one that is quite important. I am very grateful to still be alive.
2)Necessities- Shelter, water and food, clothing, transportation other than my own feet, my family (no matter how much of a mutual dislike we have for each other.. I will always love them), my gorgeous amazing fantastic friends (whom I love to the core. Without them.. where would I be?), animals of the house (my cats poop everywhere, my dog is growing to be an angry old one that also poops everywhere.. but to cuddle with them is an amazing feeling. I love them so much.).
3)Meeting you this year. You’re making things much more interesting. Magnificent you. Handsome you. Humorous you. Sweet you. Thoughtful you. You. I like you. ;)
4)Education. I’ll work harder, I promise. So far, I’m glad I have it, because without it.. I’d be even more stupid.
Then as it was, then again it will be An’ though the course may change sometimes Rivers always reach the sea Blind stars of fortune, each have several rays On the wings of maybe, down in birds of prey Kind of makes me feel sometimes, didn’t have to grow But as the eagle leaves the nest, it’s got so far to go
Changes fill my time, baby, that’s alright with me In the midst I think of you, and how it used to be
Did you ever really need somebody, And really need ‘em bad Did you ever really want somebody, The best love you ever had Do you ever remember me, baby, did it feel so good 'Cause it was just the first time, And you knew you would
Through the eyes an’ I sparkle, Senses growing keen Taste your love along the way, See your feathers preen Kind of makes makes me feel sometimes, Didn’t have to grow We are eagles of one nest, The nest is in our soul
Vixen in my dreams, with great surprise to me Never thought I’d see your face the way it used to be Oh darlin’, oh darlin’
I’m never gonna leave you. I never gonna leave Holdin’ on, ten years gone Ten years gone, holdin’ on, ten years gone
